Transparent list of athletes
The Good Coach app offers a clear list of athletes that you can change depending on who you are currently working with. In the athlete list, you will find information about whether the athlete in your charge has performed any actions since your last activity in their calendar.
Next to the name of each athlete on your list, you will see a graph covering a 10-week period. It shows the totals of the training loads in each of them. In this way, you will be able to monitor your charges' progress in real time. Importantly, you can filter athletes by name, surname and even email address. This functionality keeps your work organised and provides convenience.
Different types of training
This panel allows you to divide workouts according to their type. You can decide for yourself whether a workout is main (usually running) or supplementary (e.g. swimming or weight training). In addition, it is possible to add a description to each type of workout.
This functionality also allows you to set up different types of activity according to your own preferences. What's more, in the panel you can choose to automatically add workouts to the list when you complete your training plan for the day. Importantly, the activity types added by athletes do not mix with the activity types added by the coach. However, where names coincide, they will appear in the statistics under the same heading.
Intuitive addition of new athletes
Another convenience in your daily coaching work that you gain by opting for the Good Coach app is the extremely intuitive addition of new players. All you have to do is click the 'add' or '+' button in the athletes list panel (depending on which device you are using). All you then need to do is enter the name of the athlete and their email address, to which they will receive an invitation. This is the only activity you need to do to invite a new mentee to the app!
Athletes you want to invite but already appear in the system will also receive your invitation! In addition, as a coach you will receive data on all past activities of such a player. Only their notes will remain private.
Training organiser
The calendar in the Good Coach app allows you to precisely plan your players' training sessions. Thanks to this feature, you will be able to structure your working day to be as effective as possible. The organiser also allows you to add notes by both the coach and his/her charges.
In this section, you will also find statistics for the current week. What's more, in the iOS and Android versions of the app, statistics are available on a monthly and yearly basis, as well as from mesocycle and macrocycle periods. The calendar screen also allows you to add workouts using practical, ready-made templates.
Precise training plan
A training plan in the Good Coach app can be created by a coach or athlete. It includes a detailed breakdown of the activities planned for the day. Thanks to this functionality, you will be able to create precise training plans tailored to your athletes' individual needs. In the plan, you can include the name, description, types of training, as well as the distance to be run and the time at which the run should be completed. However, it is mandatory that you indicate only the type of training, the rest of the fields can be left blank. This section gives you a lot of freedom. You can select a workout type from a list or create a completely new one. If you select an existing workout type but decide to add new activities to it, the system will automatically assign these activities to the list. As a coach, you can save the workout as a draft or publish it as soon as you create it.
