Good Coach App supports Mystery Mountain athletes for second year in a row

For the second year in a row, Good Coach App is making its services available for free to Mystery Mountain participants.

Mystery Mountain is an event where an annual mountain is climbed for charity, but which mountain, that is the biggest secret in the Netherlands until a few weeks before departure.

Every year in September, a group of enthusiasts travel to a mountain somewhere in Europe to embark on a great adventure. Hiking, cycling or running, they brave Europe's highest peaks time and again, all for Stichting Orange Babies and more than 20 other charities. Some of the mountains they have already conquered are Mont Ventoux, Stelvio, Pico Veleta, Col de la Madeleine, Col de la Bonette and more giants like these.

Pieter Krol is a “Good Coach” and besides being part of the organisation, he is also a participant himself in the running component. He also coaches a number of participants in their way to the summit. Asked for his opinion on his experiences with the app, Pieter replied as follows:

'The app is very user-friendly for both the coach and the athlete. Thanks to the links with apps like Strava and Garmin Connect, for example, the data of the workouts and workouts synchronise automatically. Creating workouts is also very easy and previously created workouts can be conveniently stored in a library.

For the athletes, it is straightforward to adjust a date of a workout, with the coach also receiving a notification of this. Mutual communication between coach and athlete can also be done one-to-one' via the app. Perhaps the best part is that any feedback from the coach to the Good Coach App is acted upon, giving you the feeling that you are helping to develop the app. Highly recommended for every coach and athlete!'

Because of the above experiences with the Good Coach App, Pieter approached Marcin Sikora of Good Coach App last year to see if they would be willing to make their app available for charity. They did not have to think long about this, and that same week Pieter was able to provide his athletes with workouts in preparation for this beautiful, but tough journey.

Again this year, one phone call was enough to continue the cooperation.

This way, we contribute to this great initiative and hopefully the participants will like this app so much that we can get a bit more exposure in the Netherlands.
